Men’s Cross Country Wins Region

Socastee hosted a 5 team meet on Tuesday, September 12. XC State Meet Results

The Braves Cross Country squads capped off their season this Saturday with a successful showing at the State Meet at Sandhills.  Keahi Mendoza (16:55) led the Braves finishing 41st overall, followed by Nick Lefever (17:12) in 57th and Elijah Lawson (17:17) in 60th.  All three men posted their best times of the season.    

XC RESULTS From Lower States

The Men’s Cross Country Team finished 6th and the Women’s team finish 8th in Lower State. Although the teams did not qualify we still had a few individuals qualify for States. Braves Win Region VI AAAAA Championship

The Men’s Cross Country team won the Region VI AAAAA Championship last night.  This is the sixth consecutive Region Championship for the Men. The seniors who have been on the team since 7th grade will graduate and never have lost a Region (plus they have a Region Championship as a 3A, 4A, and now 5A school).

Socastee Athletics Support Flood Relief

Socastee High School and its Athletics Programs in cooperation with Socastee’s DECA club will  be collecting donations this week to help families in our community who were affected by Hurricane Matthew and the flooding that resulted from it.  We will be collecting donations at the Homecoming Football Game this Friday against South Florence, at 7:30.
