Meet Our Staff

Keesee     Jason Keesee, MSEd, ATC, SCAT 

Mr. Keesee has been the Brave’s athletic trainer since 1999.  Obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia Tech and his Master of Science in Education Degree from Old Dominion University.  Has been a certified athletic trainer since 1995.  Began his career as an athletic trainer as a clinical outreach athletic trainer at Lake City Hospital in Lake City, SC, from 1995-97.  Worked in the same capacity at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Georgetown, SC, from 1997-99.  Currently works full-time in the capacity of Head Athletic Trainer at Socastee High School.  Still maintains South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Biology.  Also certified as a BLS CPR Instructor and Heartsaver First Aid Instructor by the American Heart Association.

 

Smoak     Laurel Smoak, MEd, ATC, SCAT 

 Ms. Smoak has been the Brave’s assistant athletic trainer since 2012.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from Winthrop University and her Master of Education Degree from Auburn University Montgomery.  She has been a certified athletic trainer since 2010 and has a South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Health Science Career and Technical Education.  Also is certified as a BLS CPR/First Aid Instructor by the American Heart Association.

 

Keillor     Christine Keillor, ATC, SCAT

Ms. Keillor joined the Socastee Sports Medicine staff in August 2016 after serving as Head Athletic Trainer at Waccamaw High School for the past 7 and Andrews High School prior to that.  She is a graduate of Illinois State University.  She has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2008.  She is a full-time instructor in our Health Science Program teaching Health Science 1, Sports Medicine 1, and Medical Terminology.  She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Yoga Instructor, and an American Heart Association BLS CPR/First Aid Instructor.
